Monday

Microsoft Chatbots Tech Talk

  • When: 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Where: Room 1456, Klaus Advanced Computing Building

The Georgia Institute of Technology Mobile Application Development organization (GITMAD) will host a Microsoft employee and Tech graduate, who will talk about his work on the Xbox team and Microsoft Chatbots. Whether you’re a master of artificial intelligence or you have no idea what a chatbot is, attend this Tech Talk for a stimulating lecture.

Tuesday

King of Pops Free Yoga in the Park

  • When: 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: Historic Old Fourth Ward Park, 592 N. Angier Ave. N.E.

De-stress by heading out to the Historic Old Fourth Ward Park across from Ponce City Market for a night of yoga. The hour-long yoga class is free and designed for yogis of all levels. This is a recurring event, held every Tuesday night. Grab your mat and participate in the physical, mental, and spiritual practice of yoga.

IMPACT Presents: Gary Smith, “Effective Leadership in the Age of Disruption”

  • When: 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
  • Where: LeCraw Auditorium, Scheller College of Business

Join the Institute of Leadership and Entrepreneurship for a talk from the chief executive officer of Ciena. This lecture is part of the IMPACT Speaker Series, which brings business leaders from a variety of industries to campus to share their experiences and give entrepreneurial advice to students. If you dream of becoming a CEO, this lecture is the perfect opportunity to learn what it takes.

Living Building at Georgia Tech: “Ideas Competition” Display

  • When: All Day
  • Where: Clough Undergraduate Learning Commons

This is the last day the Living Building at Georgia Tech “Ideas Competition” exhibit will be on display in Clough Commons. Check out the models and concept boards from the three design team finalists. Learn more about the Living Building Challenge here.

Yoga for EveryBody

  • When: Noon to 1 p.m.
  • Where: Peachtree Room, Student Center

A second helping of free yoga takes place in the Student Center, thanks to the Georgia Tech Body Image Committee and Health Promotion. Mats are provided.

Language Cafe

  • When: 1 to 2 p.m.
  • Where: O’Keefe Courtyard

The Language Café was formed to encourage conversation among American Students and Language Institute students. It is a great place to practice speaking a language you are studying while helping Language Institute students practice their English. Come out to make new friends, learn about another culture, and improve your conversational skills.   

Saturday

Georgia Tech vs. Pittsburgh

  • When 12:30 p.m.
  • Where: Heinz Field; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Support the Jackets this Saturday as they take on the Pittsburgh Panthers. Bobby Dodd may be empty, but you can always create your own game day experience in your dorm or apartment. Grab some friends and food and tune into the game here.

Netherworld Haunted House: 20 Seasons of Screams

If you are anxious for Halloween, check out the Netherworld Haunted House in Norcross. Frequently lauded as the No. 1 haunted house in the U.S., this attraction features movie-quality special effects, legendary characters, and lots of surprises. Get ready for a night of fright.
