Fall recruitment for Greek organizations is right around the corner. Georgia Tech has four Greek letter councils on campus: the College Panhellenic Council (CPC), the Interfraternity Council (IFC), the Multicultural Greek Council (MGC), and the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC).

Each group has a short message about its own unique recruitment process:

College Panhellenic Council

Registration for CPC’s formal recruitment is live until Aug. 15 at 4 p.m. CPC is the governing body of the eight National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) chapters and two associate chapters at Georgia Tech. You can register for formal recruitment here; the cost of registration is $100. Recruitment will start the night of Aug. 15 and continue through Aug. 20. Note that this formal recruitment does not apply to the two associate chapters, who will host their own recruitment in the first few weeks of the semester.

Visit www.gatechcpc.com for more information about the Collegiate Panhellenic Council and formal recruitment. Email Carly Schmitt, vice president of Recruitment, with any questions.

Interfraternity Council

More commonly referred to as "Rush," IFC hosts a formal recruitment process in the fall and spring. This year, Fall Rush will take place Aug. 15–23. While recruitment happens year-round, the official rush period occurs during the first week of school in the fall and the second week of school in the spring. There is also a co-ed fraternity that both male and female students can consider rushing. IFC bylaws prohibit alcohol at all recruitment events throughout the year.

During rush, you can go to as many or as few events as you like. With 31 IFC chapters, you may want to do some research ahead of time to look at what each has to offer. There are no financial requirements for registration and recruitment, and there is no obligation to accept a bid. So, what are you waiting for? Register for Fall 2019 Rush here.

More information is available on the IFC website. Find IFC on Facebook and Instagram @gt_ifc.

Multicultural Greek Council

The Multicultural Greek Council will host its Fall 2019 Welcome Kickoff on Aug. 29. There, prospective members will be able to meet each of the five organizations within the council and learn more about their respective rush dates and selection criteria. Read more about MGC and contact them with questions about recruitment mgc.gtorg.gatech.edu.

National Pan-Hellenic Council

The National Pan-Hellenic Council will host its fall semester NPHC Week from Aug. 19–23. Students can learn about the council as a whole and each of its eight different sororities and fraternities, as well as meet members of the specific chapters, during a fun-filled week. Additional information about the council and chapters can be found on the NPHC Engage portal.
