Turning Their Tassels: Darius Chinoy

Darius came to Georgia Tech as a dean's scholar in the Scheller College of Business. He knew he wanted to tap into his entrepreneurial spirit. After a childhood of getting haircuts from his dad, Darius decided to learn how to do it himself. He started offering haircuts to his classmates — but it was his Scheller College professors who helped him launch his own small business — and he used his haircutting profits to help buy a car while he completed his degree.
