A presidential memo has confirmed that there will be funding for merit raises in the coming year.

A presidential memo has confirmed that there will be funding for merit raises in the coming year.

In a communication to leadership, President G.P. “Bud” Peterson outlined the groups that will be the focus of the available funds. Raises will conform with guidelines established by USG policy and will be funded with existing resources.

The memo also noted institutional changes concerning pay equity, raising the campus minimum salary and increasing minimum pay levels set within the Job Classification and Compensation System. Any staff who fall below the new minimums will receive a pay increase starting November 1.

“We are pleased to be able to provide for a modest increase to staff and faculty as a show of appreciation for the excellent work performed in service to Georgia Tech,” Peterson said.

Merit increases will be effective January 1, 2019.
