The Georgia Tech Police Department and ROTC programs hosted the first Student Holiday Dinner for those on campus during winter break in 2016.

For the second consecutive year, the Georgia Tech Police Department is teaming with other campus departments to throw a traditional holiday part for those who remain on campus as winter break begins. The event will be 5 to 7 p.m., December 22, in the Student Center Ballroom.

GTPD, Housing, SGA and Auxiliary Services are working with Campus Kitchens to offer a free holiday dinner to Georgia Tech undergraduate and graduate students who are still on campus during the winter break. Attendees are encouraged to bring a dessert for everyone to share, or a donation for Klemis Kitchen. All leftover food will be donated to Klemis Kitchen.

“We recognize that there a good number of people who remain on campus during winter break, and we want them to have a special holiday treat,” said GTPD Chief Rob Connolly. “We had great participation last year when we tried it for the first time, so we thought we’d do it again, this time with more campus partners like Housing, SGA, Auxiliary Services and Campus Kitchens. It’ll be fun for the students and the volunteers.”

There are limited spaces available. Those interested in attending should RSVP for each person in their party attending at https://orgsync.com/135874/events/2182958/occurrences/5193707.

If you would like to volunteer, notify Elaine Kuligowski with GTPD at elaine.kuligowski@police.gatech.edu.
