As Tech Parkway’s transformation continues, traffic will be diverted from part of the road during the next phase of construction, which begins Monday, Oct. 3.

Northbound traffic on Tech Parkway will be rerouted at Means Street. From North Avenue to Means, northbound traffic will have a single lane of travel with permit parking along the curb. At Means Street, drivers will need to turn left and use Marietta Street/Northside Drive to continue traveling north or turn right to re-enter campus.

Southbound traffic and parking will remain as-is and will not be impacted until Oct. 24. At that time, the goal is to reinstate two-way traffic using the former northbound portion of Tech Parkway. A separate traffic control plan will be implemented for Tech’s Oct. 15 football game against Georgia Southern University.

Upon completion, Tech Parkway will continue to serve as a north-south corridor for vehicular travel, but it will also have new pedestrian and bicycle paths to better serve all forms of transit. The project, jointly funded by the PATH Foundation and Georgia Tech, is scheduled to be completed in 2017.
