Cheer on the Jackets in a variety of sports. The following games will take place at home during Spring Break.

Basketball

  • March 19, noon: Men's Basketball faces Belmont in the second round of the National Invitation Tournament.
  • March 19, 5 p.m.: Women's Basketball hosts the University of Central Florida in round two of the Women's National Invitation Tournament.

Atlanta United FC vs. Chicago Fire

Cheer on Atlanta’s new Major League Soccer club in its second home game against the Chicago Fire. The game is Saturday, March 18, at 4 p.m. at Bobby Dodd Stadium. Purchase tickets here.

Atlanta Science Festival
  • March 14-25

The Atlanta Science Festival is an annual celebration of local science and technology. Scientists and educators from museums, schools, universities, and companies will uncover mysteries and explain discoveries through a variety of hands-on activities, presentations, and performances.

Founded in part by Georgia Tech, the festival features Tech in a number of ways including a demonstration at the Marcus Nanotechnology Building on March 18, a comedic performance by chemical engineering professor, Pete Ludovice, on March 18, and an evening of arts at the Ferst Center on March 24.

41st Atlanta Film Festival
  • March 24 – April 2

Now in its fourth decade, the Atlanta Film Festival is Atlanta’s preeminent celebration of cinema. Throughout the week, audiences are invited to view hundreds of new independent, international, animated, documentary, and short-films. Many of the screenings include in-person dialog with filmmakers. Video Marketing Workshop
  • March 18, 10 a.m. – noon

Learn more about how to market through video content with this introductory workshop held at TechSquare Labs (859 Spring Street). The cost of the workshop is $29 and includes guidance on how to find the right solutions within a budget, how to tell stories through video, and best practices for sharing video across major social media platforms.

Bach Birthday Recital at Emory University
  • March 19, 4 p.m.

In this one-hour recital, Emory University organist Timothy Albrecht will perform the 24 Preludes from Well-Tempered Clavier. Admission is free. The performance will be in the Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts. For more information on upcoming events at Emory, visit their website.

Frog Feeding at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens
  • March 18 and 25

On Saturday mornings, public frog feedings at the Atlanta Botanical Garden allow visitors the opportunity to observe one of the most interesting aspects of amphibians — their feeding behavior. Get to the Garden by 11 a.m. to watch.

Rescue Dog Olympics
  • March 25

See dogs participate in Olympic-style events and enjoy food trucks and other fun activities at Brook Run Park in Dunwoody.

Brookhaven Cherry Blossom Festival

Celebrate the spring at Blackburn Park with live performances, arts and crafts, food, drink, and more.
