Monday, Jan. 30

The Ray C. Anderson Center for Sustainable Business presents The Carbon-Conscious Business: Science, Policy, and Technology lecture series. Kim M. Cobb, ADVANCE Professor and Georgia Power Faculty Scholar, will be speaking on the topic of “Climate Risk and Opportunity in the Southeastern U.S.” from 5 to 6 p.m. in room 314, Scheller College of Business. Tuesday, Jan. 31

With more than 120 different programs, study abroad opportunities span every continent and academic discipline. Study Abroad 101 sessions are held every Tuesday from 11 a.m. to noon in room 308, Savant Building. Information about the study abroad application process will be provided. 

Wednesday, Feb. 1

The Institute for Leadership and Entrepreneurship, the African Student Association, and Serve-Learn-Sustain host Derreck Kayongo, chief executive officer of the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. 

Thursday, Feb. 2  

If you’re an astronomy enthusiast, head to the roof of the Howey Physics Building to view the Moon and other objects in the night sky. All are welcome to attend this cosmic event. 

Friday, Feb. 3

On the first Friday of each month, the High Museum of Art offers extended hours with drop-in art making, performances, and refreshments. This month’s event includes a screening of Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and an ice carving by Adrián Barzaga.

Saturday, Feb. 4

A-Town Showdown is a national intercollegiate Garba-Raas and Bollywood-Fusion dance competition that showcases the talents of passionate individuals from across the nation. A total of 16 teams have been selected to compete. Purchase tickets online.

Sunday, Feb. 5

Gather your friends for a Super Bowl viewing party on Sunday, Feb. 5, at Tech Rec, with free food and bowling. Rise Up as the Atlanta Falcons take on the New England Patriots in Houston, Texas.
