On June 22 the Georgia Tech Police Department arrested Ernest Olivares, senior director of Housing and Facilities Management. He was charged with sexual battery and aggravated sexual battery and is in custody at the Fulton County Jail. No students were involved. The redacted arrest report is available online.

Olivares has been placed on administrative leave. The Georgia Institute of Technology is unable to offer further details because the Institute does not discuss personnel matters or ongoing investigations.
