If you like getting outside and don’t have Spring Break plans, there’s still a chance to make some.

Trailblazers, a student organization, is hosting an Alternative Spring Break trip to Cumberland Island, Georgia, from March 19-26 for a week of environmental service and outdoor adventure. The cost of the trip is $200 and includes membership dues for Trailblazers, food, transportation, recreation, shelter, and a T-shirt. The weeklong trip itinerary includes camping, sea kayaking, hiking, and beaching.

Each year, the Trailblazers Alternative Spring Break program incorporates a service aspect to the outdoor activities. The service project for this trip focuses on trail maintenance and cleanup on Cumberland Island, a U.S. National Parl. Previous trips have included excursions to the Smokey Mountains, Appalachian Trail, and other state parks throughout the Southeast.

The trip is available to all Georgia Tech students, regardless of outdoor experience. Students interested in participating should apply by this Friday, March 4, at www.georgiatechtrailblazers.com.
