Tech Wins Governor's Cup for 13th Time

The Cup is awarded annually to the state institution with the highest average contribution per employee in the State Charitable Contributions Program.
Georgia Tech earned the Governor's Cup for donations to the 2015 State Charitable Contributions Program. The Cup, which Tech has won 13 times, is awarded annually to the state institution with the highest average contribution per employee. In the 2015 campaign, 1,361 Georgia Tech employees pledged $365,579.

For the 13th time, and the eighth year in a row, Georgia Tech employees were recognized for charitable giving to nonprofit organizations across the state.

Georgia Tech is the recipient of the 2015 Governor's Cup, earned for donations to the 2015 State Charitable Contributions Program. The Cup is awarded annually to the state institution with the highest average contribution per employee. In the 2015 campaign, 1,361 Georgia Tech employees pledged $365,579. Donations from the campaign are distributed to nonprofit organizations around the state of Georgia. Georgia Tech was recognized at the State Charitable Contributions Program awards ceremony on June 9.

This year, Tech also earned awards for having the largest total increase in contributions and the highest level of employee participation.

"This would not have been possible without the dedication of our wonderful ambassadors and leadership team," said LaJauna Ellis, executive assistant to the dean in the College of Engineering and 2015 campaign chair.
