Army ROTC Offers Two-Year Academic Scholarships

Those with a graduation date of 2018 could earn a two-year academic scholarship.

If you’re a student who has ever considered serving in the armed services, the Georgia Tech Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) program may have an opportunity for you.

The Army ROTC program has scholarship openings for upperclassmen and graduate students who plan to graduate in 2018 and are studying science, technology, engineering or mathematics fields.

Students are encouraged to apply to attend the Leader’s Training Course (LTC), a 30-day paid summer program at Fort Knox, Kentucky. Successful completion of the LTC will place students into the military science program as a Junior Army ROTC Cadet, where they can receive a two-year academic scholarship.

Students must have a GPA of 3.1 or higher to qualify and they must also successfully complete a standard Army Physical Fitness Test.

To learn more about Army ROTC and the LTC, contact Georgia Tech’s Recruiting Operations officer, Michael Ward, at michael.ward@rotc.gatech.edu. Ward asks that students send their name, major, date of graduation and phone number.

Application deadline is July 1, 2015. Students can learn more about Tech’s Army ROTC program at armyrotc.gatech.edu.
